The Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple measures 1-1/2 x 2 NPT male and is produced from seamless red brass pipe, alloy 230. This red brass nipple is easier to machine, less brittle to work with, and exhibits superior resistance to corrosion compared to yellow brass, as it will not dezincify. Brass provides good corrosion resistance against water and heat, and can withstand the effects of salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils present in water. It is primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, but is also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications. The product includes a warranty consistent with industry standards.
