The Merit red brass seamless standard pipe nipple measures 1-1/4 x 2 inches NPT male and is produced from seamless red brass pipe, specifically Alloy 230. Red brass nipples are easier to machine, less brittle, and significantly more corrosion resistant than yellow brass, as they do not dezincify. This brass provides excellent corrosion resistance against water and heat, as well as resistance to salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils found in water.
