Merit red brass seamless standard pipe nipple 2-1/2 x 5 NPT male is manufactured from seamless red brass pipe, alloy 230. The red brass nipples are designed to be easier to machine and less brittle, offering superior resistance to corrosion compared to yellow brass, as it will not dezincify. Brass provides excellent corrosion resistance from water and heat and withstands attacks from salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils found in water. This product is primarily utilized for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, and it is also compatible with oil, gas, and steam applications.
