Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple 3 x 5 NPT Male is manufactured from seamless red brass pipe, specifically Alloy 230, which is easier to machine, less brittle to work with, and far more resistant to corrosion compared to yellow brass (will not dezincify). This brass pipe nipple provides good corrosion resistance against water, heat, salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils found in water. Its primary applications are in commercial plumbing and OEM, although it is also suitable for use in oil, gas, and steam applications.
