The Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple measures 3/8 x 3-1/2 inches with NPT male connections. These brass nipples are manufactured from seamless red brass pipe, specifically Alloy 230, which provides superior machining properties and resistance to brittleness and corrosion compared to yellow brass, eliminating the risk of dezincification. This material offers excellent corrosion resistance from water and heat, and withstands attack from salt water, acids, and minerals present in peaty soils. While primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, red brass is also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
