The Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple measures 3/8 x 1-1/2 NPT Male and is produced from seamless red brass pipe, specifically alloy 230. This red brass material is easier to machine, less brittle in applications, and demonstrates superior corrosion resistance compared to yellow brass, as it will not dezincify. Designed primarily for use with water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, the brass nipple also effectively serves oil, gas, and steam applications. The pipe nipple is resistant to corrosion from water and heat, as well as attacks from salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils contained in water.
