The Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple measures 3 x 3-1/2 inches with NPT Male threading and is made from seamless red brass pipe, specifically alloy 230. This red brass nipple is designed for improved machinability and enhanced resistance to brittleness, making it more durable and significantly more resistant to corrosion than yellow brass, as it will not dezincify. Offering excellent corrosion resistance from water and heat, the brass construction also withstands attacks from salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils found in water. It is primarily utilized for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, while also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
