The Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple measures 1/2 x 3 NPT Male and is produced from seamless red brass pipe, specifically alloy 230. This red brass nipple is easier to machine, less brittle, and exhibits significantly greater resistance to corrosion compared to yellow brass, as it will not dezincify. Brass provides good corrosion resistance from water and heat while resisting attacks from salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils found in water.
