The Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple measures 2 x 3 NPT Male and is made from seamless red brass pipe, alloy 230. Red brass nipples are designed for easier machining, improved durability, and greater resistance to corrosion compared to yellow brass, as they do not dezincify. This material provides good corrosion resistance against water and heat, as well as resistance to salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils present in water. Primarily utilized for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, brass is also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
