The Merit Red Brass Seamless Standard Pipe Nipple measures 3/4 inch by 6-1/2 inches NPT male and is produced from seamless red brass pipe, composed of alloy 230. This red brass nipple is easier to machine, less brittle, and significantly more resistant to corrosion than yellow brass, as it will not dezincify. Brass offers excellent corrosion resistance to water and heat and withstands attack from salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils present in water. It is primarily utilized for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications but is also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
