The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning disc measures 4-1/2" with a NH CRS grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It is constructed from durable, non-woven fiber that conforms well to irregular or contoured surfaces without undercutting or damaging the base material. The open-web design runs cool and resists loading, enabling prolonged operation while the evenly distributed aluminum oxide abrasives provide a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. The aluminum oxide abrasive is tough, durable, and self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, making it ideal for grinding, sanding, and finishing on a wide variety of substrates including ferrous alloys. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives combine abrasive minerals with non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers to deliver consistent results throughout the product's life while limiting fiber clogging. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, light grinding, rust removal, and weld cleaning, serving industries such as aerospace, general industrial, metalworking, MRO, and transportation and heavy equipment.
