The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Surface Conditioning Disc 2" x NH VFN Grit Aluminum Oxide is designed for initial cleaning, blending, deburring, and finishing tasks, featuring a durable non-woven fiber construction that conforms to irregular or contoured surfaces without undercutting or damaging the base material. This disc incorporates aluminum oxide abrasive, known for its high cut-rate, toughness, long life, and self-fracturing properties that expose fresh cutting edges during use, making it suitable for woodworking and metalworking on a wide range of substrates, including ferrous alloys. The open-web, load-resistant material runs cool to prolong operation and maintain consistent high performance by limiting fiber clogging. These industrial abrasives combine synthetic fibers with abrasives to provide a consistent surface conditioning system throughout the product's life. Typical applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, light grinding, rust removal, and weld cleaning.
