The 3M™ 61500122512 Scotch-Brite™ EXL unitized wheel measures 6" x 1/2" x 1/2" and features silicon carbide, specifically designed for 2S fin applications such as blending and deburring. This product is suitable for various industries, including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines. The unitized wheel provides a clean edge without smearing, minimizing the need for additional cleanup and preparation. Optimally designed for use with a die grinder, it reduces heat buildup during operation, making it ideal for heat-sensitive materials. The wheel is filled with abrasive minerals that effectively smooth edges of metal, plastic, and composites, and is available in various grades: aluminum oxide in fine, medium, coarse, and extra coarse, as well as silicon carbide in very fine and fine grades. The Scotch-Brite™ EXL unitized wheel incorporates abrasives within non-woven nylon fibers to form a unique surface conditioning product, ensuring consistent results throughout its lifespan. The open-web material is load resistant, maintaining high performance by limiting clogging of the nylon fibers during use.
