The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL unitized wheel measures 3" x 1/4" x 1/4" and features aluminum oxide abrasive minerals in an 8A medium grade, designed for use on die grinders to give a clean edge without smearing, reducing the need for additional cleanup and preparation. This unitized wheel minimizes heat buildup during operation, making it suitable for heat-sensitive materials. The Scotch-Brite™ EXL unitized wheel contains abrasive minerals integrated into non-woven nylon fibers, forming a surface conditioning product that delivers consistent results throughout its lifespan. The open-web material is load resistant and limits clogging of the nylon fibers, maintaining high performance. Available in aluminum oxide grades of fine, medium, coarse, and extra coarse, and silicon carbide in very fine and fine grades, this wheel is used for applications such as blending and deburring across industries including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
