The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL deburring wheel measures 6" x 2" x 1" and is made with aluminum oxide 8A medium abrasive mineral. The wheel features convolute construction and clean, uniform wear, which keeps it running smoothly and helps the operator achieve a professional finish while minimizing fatigue. It runs cool, provides uniform wear, and continuously exposes fresh abrasives, making it suitable for heat-sensitive substrates. The wheel's toughness extends its service life. This EXL deburring wheel is available with either silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive minerals; silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic mineral used for low-pressure applications like paint prep and finishing and produces a finer finish but breaks down faster, while aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral offering a high cut rate and long life. Scotch-Brite™ utilizes abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon fibers, creating an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product’s life. Its open-web material is load resistant and limits clogging of the nylon fibers, maintaining high cutting performance.
