The Scotch-Brite material runs cool, providing uniform wear and continuously exposing fresh abrasives, making it ideal for heat-sensitive substrates. The wheel’s toughness extends its service life. The EXL deburring wheel is available with either silicon carbide, a sharp synthetic mineral suited for low-pressure applications like paint preparation and finishing that produces a finer finish but breaks down faster, or aluminum oxide, a hard blocky mineral offering a high cut rate and long life. Scotch-Brite is a unique surface conditioning product that combines abrasives with non-woven nylon fibers, delivering consistent results throughout the product’s life.
