The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL Deburring Wheel measures 8" x 2" x 3" and is constructed with aluminum oxide 8A medium abrasive. This wheel provides a clean surface finish without smearing, reducing the need for additional cleanup and preparation. Its convolute construction ensures clean, uniform wear, allowing smooth operation and minimizing operator fatigue. The Scotch-Brite material runs cool, maintaining uniform wear and continuously exposing fresh abrasives, which is ideal for heat-sensitive substrates. The wheel’s toughness extends its service life. Available with either silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive minerals, silicon carbide offers sharpness suitable for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation and finishing, producing a finer finish but breaking down faster, while aluminum oxide delivers a high cut rate with longer life. Scotch-Brite is a surface conditioning product combining abrasives with non-woven nylon fibers, creating a consistent abrasive system that resists clogging and maintains high performance throughout the product’s life.
