The wheel is available with either silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive minerals; silicon carbide is sharp and suited for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation and finishing, while aluminum oxide offers a high cut-rate and long service life. Notably, silicon carbide may break down faster but produces a finer finish. The unique design combines abrasives with non-woven nylon fibers, creating a system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's life.
