The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL Deburring Wheel measures 6" x 1/2" x 1" and features silicon carbide 8S abrasive mineral, designed to provide a clean surface without smearing, reducing the need for additional cleanup and preparation. Its convolute construction and clean, uniform wear ensure smooth operation, helping operators achieve a professional finish while minimizing fatigue. The Scotch-Brite material runs cool and provides uniform wear by continuously exposing fresh abrasives, making it ideal for heat-sensitive substrates and extending the wheel's service life. The EXL Deburring Wheel is available with either silicon carbide, known for its sharpness and suitability for low-pressure applications like paint preparation and finishing, or aluminum oxide, which offers a high cut-rate and long life with a coarser finish. The product integrates abrasives into non-woven nylon fibers, creating a load-resistant open-web material that limits clogging and maintains high cutting performance. It is suitable for blending, deburring, finishing, flat finishing, and polishing in applications involving builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
