The 3M™ PSA Cloth Disc 348D 3" x NH P100 grit aluminum oxide is a heavy-duty sanding disc designed for high heat and heavy-duty sanding applications, featuring a high-strength pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing that adheres to backup pads or steel platens for efficient application and clean removal. This sanding disc incorporates a heat-resistant resin bond and cloth backing, ensuring durability under high heat and pressure. The aluminum oxide abrasive is in a closed coat arrangement, providing a fast cut suitable for grinding and dual action sanding (D/A) on metal surfaces. The disc is intended for use on metal parts and surfaces in various sizes and shapes for deburring, blending, cleaning, and finishing tasks. The PSA backing requires attachment to a backup pad (sold separately) that fits disc sanders, random orbital sanders, or stationary disc sanders. The aluminum oxide abrasive is favored in industrial settings for its fast cut rate, long life, self-fracturing property exposing fresh cutting edges, and suitability for a wide range of materials including ferrous alloys in both woodworking and metalworking.
