The 3M™ PSA cloth disc 348D 3" x NH 60 grit aluminum oxide is a heavy-duty sanding disc designed for high heat and heavy-duty applications, featuring a high-strength pressure sensitive adhesive backing that adheres securely to a backup pad or steel platen for efficient use and clean removal. It has a heat-resistant resin bond and cloth backing, making it suitable for grinding and dual action sanding on metal with fast-cut aluminum oxide particles in a closed coat. This abrasive disc is ideal for deburring, blending, cleaning up, and finishing metal parts and surfaces of various sizes and shapes. The pressure-sensitive adhesive allows it to be pressed onto a separately sold backup pad, which attaches to disc sanders, random orbital sanders, or stationary disc sanders. Aluminum oxide abrasive is chosen for its durability, fast cut-rate, and ability to self-fracture, offering a longer lifespan compared to traditional abrasives like garnet.
