The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL unitized wheel measures 3" x 1/4" x 3/8" and is made with silicon carbide 6S fin abrasive minerals, designed to give a clean edge without smearing, reducing the need for additional cleanup and preparation. This unitized wheel is optimized for use on a die grinder and minimizes heat buildup during operation, making it suitable for heat-sensitive materials. The Scotch-Brite™ EXL wheel features abrasive minerals incorporated into non-woven nylon fibers, creating an abrasive system that delivers consistent results over the product's life. The open-web material is load resistant and prevents clogging, maintaining high performance. Variants include aluminum oxide available in fine, medium, coarse, and extra coarse grades, and silicon carbide in very fine and fine grades. Applications include blending and deburring, and it is used in industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
