The 3M™ PSA Cloth Disc 348D is a 2" diameter sanding disc featuring P100 grit aluminum oxide abrasives set in a heat-resistant resin bond with a cloth backing, designed for heavy-duty sanding and grinding applications. It has a high-strength pressure-sensitive adhesive backing that allows efficient attachment to a backup pad or steel platen, facilitating clean removal and reliable use with disc sanders, random orbital sanders, or stationary disc sanders (backup pads sold separately). The aluminum oxide abrasive offers a fast cut rate and long life due to its self-fracturing properties, making it suitable for grinding, dual action sanding, deburring, blending, cleaning, and finishing of metal parts and surfaces of various sizes and shapes, including ferrous alloys. The heat-resistant resin bond ensures stability and durability under high heat and pressure conditions typical in sanding metal and wood products. Typical applications include blending, deburring, flat area sanding, orbital sanding, metal fabrication, and primary wood and panel processing industries. The product is sized at 2 inches in diameter, graded P100, and meets industry standards for industrial use with a warranty covering defects in material and workmanship.
