The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL Unitized Wheel measures 3" x 1/4" x 3/8" and features aluminum oxide abrasive minerals with an 8A CRS grade. This unitized wheel is designed for use on a die grinder and provides a clean edge without smearing, reducing the need for additional clean up and preparation. It minimizes heat buildup during operation, making it suitable for heat-sensitive materials. The wheel is filled with abrasive minerals to quickly smooth edges of metal, plastic, and composites, and is available in aluminum oxide grades including fine, medium, coarse, and extra coarse, as well as silicon carbide in very fine and fine grades. Scotch-Brite™ is made from abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon fibers, creating a load-resistant open-web material that limits clogging and maintains high-performance abrasive cutting. Common applications include blending and deburring, and it is used in industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
