The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL Unitized Wheel measures 3" x 1/4" x 3/8" and features aluminum oxide 4A fine abrasive minerals, designed to provide a clean edge without smearing, reducing the need for additional cleanup and preparation. It is optimized for use on die grinders and minimizes heat buildup during operation, making it suitable for heat-sensitive materials. The wheel is filled with abrasive minerals to quickly smooth edges on metal, plastic, and composites and is available in aluminum oxide grades of fine, medium, coarse, and extra coarse, as well as silicon carbide in very fine and fine grades. Scotch-Brite™ is a surface conditioning product incorporating abrasives within non-woven nylon fibers, creating an abrasive system that maintains consistent performance throughout its lifespan. The open-web material resists loading and limits clogging, ensuring high cutting performance. Typical applications include blending and deburring, and the product is used across industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
