The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL unitized wheel measures 1" x 1" x 3/16" and is made with aluminum oxide abrasive 8A CRS, designed to provide a clean edge without smearing and to minimize heat buildup during operation, making it suitable for use on heat-sensitive materials with a die grinder. This unitized wheel contains abrasive minerals incorporated into non-woven nylon fibers, creating a surface conditioning product that delivers consistent results and resists loading by using an open-web material that limits clogging. The wheel is available in aluminum oxide grades of fine, medium, coarse, and extra coarse, as well as silicon carbide in very fine and fine grades, enabling efficient smoothing of metal, plastic, and composite edges. It is ideal for blending and deburring applications across industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
