The Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ SC surface conditioning disc features an Open-Web fiber construction that runs cool and resists loading, complemented by high cut-rate abrasives for consistent finishing results. This disc utilizes the 3M™ Roloc™ attachment system for quick and easy disc change-out, making it suitable for various tasks such as blending, deburring, and finishing. Available in options of silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive minerals, silicon carbide is noted for its sharpness and is ideal for low-pressure applications like paint prep and finishing, while aluminum oxide offers a hard, blocky structure that delivers high cut-rate and long life. Although silicon carbide breaks down faster, it yields a finer finish compared to aluminum oxide. Each disc is designed for use with a Roloc™ disc pad (sold separately) for effortless transitions between tasks or multi-step finishing processes. The secure 3M™ Roloc™ quick change attachment system ensures stability even in heavy-duty applications, while the color-coded discs facilitate easy identification of the required grade for different applications. Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning products are engineered with abrasives embedded in non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, which promote consistent performance throughout the product's lifespan. The load-resistant fibers minimize clogging, thus enhancing the cutting efficiency and extending the disc's life. Suitable applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, and finishing.
