The Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ SC surface conditioning disc features an open-web fiber construction that runs cool, resists loading, and provides consistent finishing with a high cut-rate. It includes the 3M™ Roloc™ attachment system for quick and easy disc changes, making it suitable for various tasks such as blending, deburring, and finishing. The disc is available with a choice of silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive minerals; silicon carbide is ideal for low-pressure applications like paint prep and finishing due to its sharpness, while aluminum oxide offers a high cut-rate and long life. Although silicon carbide wears out faster, it yields a finer finish. The 3M™ Roloc™ quick change discs attach seamlessly to a Roloc™ disc pad (sold separately), allowing for rapid switching between discs for different jobs or multi-step processes. Each disc is color-coded for easy identification of its grade, enhancing efficiency in application selection. Scotch-Brite™ products integrate abrasives within non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating a system that maintains high performance throughout the disc's life. The open-web structure minimizes the risk of part discoloration and warping and the load-resistant fibers help prevent clogging, extending the disc's lifespan.
