The Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ surface conditioning disc features an open-web fiber design that runs cool and resists loading, combined with abrasives that provide a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. It utilizes the 3M™ Roloc™ attachment system for quick and easy disc change-out, making it suitable for various tasks such as blending, deburring, and finishing. The disc is available with either silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive minerals; silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic mineral ideal for low-pressure applications like paint prep and finishing, while aluminum oxide offers a high cut-rate and longevity. Although silicon carbide breaks down faster, it results in a finer finish. These discs are designed to attach securely to a Roloc™ disc pad (sold separately), enabling quick transitions between applications. Each disc is color-coded for easy identification of its grade, optimizing efficiency in multi-step finishing processes. Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning products incorporate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, delivering consistent results throughout the product's lifecycle. The load-resistant fibers minimize clogging, maintain high cutting performance, and prolong disc life. Key applications include blending, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, and finishing.
