The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ SE surface conditioning disc measures 4-1/2" in diameter with an NH CRS grit aluminum oxide abrasive, combining an aggressive non-woven disc designed for heavy-duty deburring and finishing with a hook and loop attachment system for efficient use. Its heavy-duty non-woven fiber construction conforms to edges and irregular or contoured surfaces, preserving them during use. The aluminum oxide abrasive is a durable mineral known for its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, low heat retention, and ability to self-fracture to expose fresh cutting edges, making it suitable for grinding, sanding, and finishing on a variety of substrates including ferrous alloys in both woodworking and metalworking applications. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives incorporate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating an abrasive system that provides consistent performance throughout the product's life, runs cool due to its open-web material, and resists load and clogging. This disc is ideal for applications such as blending, deburring, flat area and light grinding, parting line removal, plate grinding, metal prepping prior to painting, right angle grinding, sheet grinding, weld removal, and finishing metal fabrication, primarily used in the metal fabrication industry.
