The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning disc measures 8 inches and features NH CRS grit aluminum oxide abrasive, which is known for its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention. Constructed from durable, non-woven fiber material, the disc conforms well to irregular or contoured surfaces without undercutting or damaging the base material. The open-web design helps the disc run cool and resists loading, enabling prolonged operation and consistent finishing through evenly distributed aluminum oxide abrasives. Aluminum oxide is preferred in industrial applications due to its toughness and ability to self-fracture, exposing fresh cutting edges during use, making it suitable for a wide range of substrates including ferrous alloys in both woodworking and metalworking. This product is ideal for cleaning, blending, deburring, finishing, light grinding, rust removal, and weld cleaning across industries such as aerospace, general industrial, marine, metalworking, MRO, transportation, and heavy equipment.
