The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning disc, measuring 8" in diameter with NH med grit aluminum oxide, features a durable non-woven fiber construction that conforms well to irregular or contoured surfaces without undercutting or damaging the base material. The open-web material runs cool and resists loading, enabling prolonged operation, while evenly distributed aluminum oxide abrasives provide a high cut-rate for consistent finishing. The aluminum oxide mineral used is tough, durable, self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, and is widely suitable for a variety of substrates, including ferrous alloys, in woodworking and metalworking. This disc is designed for applications such as blending, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, finishing, light grinding, rust removal, and weld cleaning, and is used across industries including aerospace, general industrial, marine, metalworking, MRO, transportation, and heavy equipment.
