The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning disc measures 6 inches in diameter, features a medium grit aluminum oxide abrasive, and is constructed from durable, non-woven fiber material that conforms well to irregular or contoured surfaces without undercutting or damaging the base material. The disc's open-web design runs cool and resists loading for prolonged operation, while the evenly distributed aluminum oxide abrasives deliver a high cut rate for consistent finishing. The aluminum oxide mineral used is known for its toughness, long life, and ability to self-fracture to expose fresh cutting edges, making it suitable for grinding, sanding, and finishing applications on a variety of substrates, including ferrous alloys in both woodworking and metalworking.
