The 3M 4 1/2" x 1/8" x 3/8" 5/8-11" disc pad holder 9145 is designed for various applications including power tools, accessories, compounds, and specialties, catering to industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating & polishing, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines. This disc pad holder facilitates quick and easy changes of Scotch-Brite abrasive discs, making it ideal for multi-step projects. It is available in a range of sizes, foam densities, and attachment options, ensuring compatibility with your grinding and sanding needs. The holder features a center hole with internal threads, allowing you to choose the appropriate thread size that matches your right angle grinder. T-shaped hooks securely hold a surface conditioning disc for reliable attachment, removal, and re-attachment, while the hook-and-loop feature allows for the reuse of discs throughout their abrasive life. It is important to note that discs are sold separately. The Scotch-Brite surface conditioning discs and light grinding/blending products, also sold separately, are effective in deburring, cleaning, blending, and finishing a variety of materials, and when used with the 3M disc pad holder, they generate finishes suitable for paint.
