The oil-filled nylon is available in a natural color suitable for food contact applications, with the absence of pigment allowing it to conform with FDA regulations 21 CFR, Sec. 177.15 and USDA 3A sanitary standards 20-17 for direct contact with food. Typical applications include FDA compliant bearings and bushings replacement for stainless steel in various food processing applications such as bottling, canning, packing, and processing lines, where it is used as friction and wear parts, as well as gears, sprockets, and other rotational components.
