Makrofol DE 7-2 velvet-fine matte polycarbonate film is a translucent polycarbonate film that minimizes pin holing and features a unique combination of low gloss and enhanced abrasion resistance. This textured polycarbonate film is supplied with a velvet first surface and a very fine matte second surface, offered in thicknesses ranging from .005" to .030". It is dazzle-free and scratch resistant, similar to 6-2, but has a coarser velvet texture on one side. The film complies with UL94 VTM-2 and FMVSS 302 standards and compares to Lexan 8B38.
