The kit includes a high-efficiency wedge and socket system designed to eliminate the potential breaking off of the tail due to fatigue, with the tail secured by the base of the clip and the wedge for reuse. It also removes the need for an extra piece of wire rope, as the dead end of the wire rope is secured to the wedge, preventing loss or "punch out" of the wedge. The basket is cast from steel and undergoes magnetic particle inspection for quality assurance. The pin diameter and jaw opening are specifically designed to allow the wedge and socket to be used in conjunction with closed swage and spelter sockets, achieving an 80% efficiency rating based on the catalog strength of XXIP wire rope. Quic-Check markings are incorporated to ensure proper installation, indicating that the wire rope should pass through the "go" hole but not through the "no go" hole on the wedge. This product satisfies ASME B30.26 requirements.
