The entire clip is galvanized to resist corrosive and rusting action, with Crosby wire rope clips featuring an efficiency rating of 80% for sizes ranging from 3/16" to 7/8" and 90% for sizes from 1" through 1-1/2". The design incorporates bolts that are an integral part of the saddle, allowing the operator to install nuts in a manner that enables a full swing of the wrench for fast installation. Each size is equipped with forged steel saddles and is individually bagged or tagged, complete with proper application instructions and warning information. These clips meet or exceed all requirements of ASME B30.26, including identification, ductility, design factor, proof load, and temperature requirements, as well as additional performance criteria such as fatigue life, impact properties, and material traceability. They are assembled with standard heavy hex nuts and comply with the performance requirements of Federal Specification FF-C-450 Type III, Class 1, with the exception of specific contractor provisions.
