The Baileigh Industrial VM-949 milling machine is a conventional style knee milling machine designed for small to medium-sized machine shops or fabrication shops. It features a fully variable speed system utilizing Yaskawa® inverter drives, allowing spindle speeds to be adjustable from 60 to 4200 RPM, which enhances tooling life and enables specific applications like thermal friction drilling. The machine is available in 220 volt single and three-phase options to accommodate various shop requirements. Constructed with high-quality castings for its base and framework, the VM-949 ensures superior rigidity, resulting in better cutting performance. It incorporates a standard NST 40 spindle, enabling the use of larger tooling when necessary. The VM-949 is equipped with powered X, Y, and Z axes, with a Mitutoyo® DRO providing digital readout for precise positioning down to 1/10 of a thousandth of an inch. Additional standard features include an air draw bar and a coolant system with a catch tray.
