Ketron® PEEK 1000 (virgin, unfilled PEEK) offers chemical and hydrolysis resistance comparable to PPS while functioning at higher temperatures. This virgin PEEK material provides steam and wear resistance, suitable for continuous use at temperatures up to 480°F (250°C) and in hot water or steam without significant degradation of physical properties. For challenging environments, PEEK serves as a high-strength alternative to fluoropolymers. It carries a UL 94 V-O flammability rating and produces minimal smoke and toxic gas emissions when exposed to flame. Ketron® PEEK 1000 is an unreinforced general-purpose grade, known for its superior elongation and toughness compared to other PEEK grades. The newly available black variant of PEEK 1000 is particularly well-suited for instrument components where aesthetics and ductility are critical, as well as seal components requiring inertness. This product is stocked in 19 locations across the USA, Singapore, and Taiwan.
