Ketron® PEEK 1000 is a virgin, unfilled polyetheretherketone that offers exceptional chemical and hydrolysis resistance comparable to PPS while maintaining the ability to operate at higher temperatures. This general-purpose grade features high elongation and toughness, making it ideal for a variety of applications. Ketron® PEEK 1000 can be used continuously at temperatures up to 480°F (250°C) and is suitable for use in hot water or steam without experiencing permanent loss in physical properties. It boasts a UL 94 V-O flammability rating, exhibiting very low smoke and toxic gas emissions when exposed to flame, making it a reliable choice for hostile environments. Additionally, the newly available black variant of PEEK 1000 is particularly well-suited for instrument components where aesthetics are crucial, as well as for seal components that require ductility and inertness.
