Ketron® PEEK 1000 is a virgin, unfilled polyetheretherketone that offers exceptional chemical and hydrolysis resistance akin to PPS while being capable of operating at higher temperatures, making it suitable for demanding applications. This general-purpose grade of PEEK is unreinforced, providing the highest elongation and toughness among all PEEK grades. It can be continuously utilized at temperatures up to 480°F (250°C) and withstand exposure to hot water or steam without experiencing permanent loss in physical properties. With a UL 94 V-O flammability rating, Ketron® PEEK 1000 also demonstrates very low smoke and toxic gas emissions when subjected to flame. The newly available black variant is particularly well-suited for instrument components where aesthetics matter, as well as for seal components that require ductility and inertness. Ketron® PEEK is readily available across 19 locations in the USA, Singapore, and Taiwan.
