Ertalyte® PET-P is an unreinforced, semi-crystalline thermoplastic polyester known for its superior dimensional stability, excellent wear resistance, low coefficient of friction, high strength, and resistance to moderately acidic solutions. This material can sustain high loads and endure challenging wear conditions while offering good chemical and abrasion resistance. It has low moisture absorption, which ensures that its mechanical and electrical properties remain largely unaffected by moisture. Additionally, Ertalyte® TX is an internally lubricated variant of PET-P that provides enhanced wear resistance and inertness compared to general-purpose nylons or acetals.
