Ketron® PEEK 1000 is a virgin, unfilled polyetheretherketone that provides excellent chemical and hydrolysis resistance comparable to PPS while functioning effectively at higher temperatures. This general-purpose grade of PEEK material demonstrates steam and wear resistance, allowing for continuous use at temperatures up to 480°F (250°C) without experiencing permanent loss in physical properties, even in hot water or steam conditions. PEEK serves as a high-strength alternative to fluoropolymers in challenging environments. It is rated UL 94 V-O for flammability and produces minimal smoke and toxic gas emissions when exposed to flame. The newly introduced black PEEK 1000 is particularly suitable for instrument components where aesthetics are significant, as well as for seal components where ductility and inertness are critical. Ketron® PEEK is available in 19 locations across the USA, Singapore, and Taiwan.
