Ketron® PEEK 1000 is a virgin, unfilled polyetheretherketone that provides chemical and hydrolysis resistance similar to PPS while operating at higher temperatures. This general-purpose grade offers exceptional steam and wear resistance, suitable for continuous use at temperatures up to 480°F (250°C) and in hot water or steam without compromising its physical properties. PEEK is a high-strength alternative to fluoropolymers for hostile environments and has a UL 94 V-O flammability rating, with very low smoke and toxic gas emissions when exposed to flame. The newly available black PEEK 1000 is particularly suited for instrument components where aesthetics matter, as well as for seal components requiring ductility and inertness.
