Delrin® AF Blend (Delrin® AF Blend with 13% PTFE [Standard Grade]) is a specialized thermoplastic material designed for applications involving moving parts where low friction and extended wear life are critical. This blend consists of PTFE fibers that are uniformly dispersed in Delrin® acetal resin, with the standard formulation containing 13% PTFE fiber-fill. An alternative, Delrin 100AF, can be custom ordered, featuring a higher PTFE content of 20%. The DE588 variant of Delrin® 100AF is fully certified for compliance with US Naval specifications, ensuring its suitability for demanding marine environments.
