Ketron® PEEK 1000 is a virgin, unfilled polyetheretherketone that offers exceptional chemical and hydrolysis resistance, comparable to PPS, while being capable of operating at higher temperatures. This material can withstand continuous use at temperatures up to 480°F (250°C) and remains effective in hot water or steam environments without significant degradation of its physical properties. Known for its high strength, PEEK serves as an alternative to fluoropolymers in challenging environments. It possesses a UL 94 V-O flammability rating and produces minimal smoke and toxic gas emissions when exposed to flame. Ketron® PEEK 1000 is the general-purpose, unreinforced grade that provides the highest elongation and toughness among PEEK variants. The newly introduced black PEEK 1000 is particularly suited for applications requiring aesthetic considerations, such as instrument components, as well as seal components that demand ductility and inertness. Stocked in 19 locations across the USA, Singapore, and Taiwan, this material assures ready availability for various applications.
