Ketron® PEEK 1000 is a virgin, unfilled polyetheretherketone that offers chemical and hydrolysis resistance comparable to PPS, with the capability to operate at higher temperatures. This material can withstand continuous exposure to temperatures up to 480°F (250°C), and it maintains its physical properties in hot water or steam. It is a high-strength alternative to fluoropolymers in hostile environments, featuring a UL 94 V-O flammability rating and low smoke and toxic gas emissions when exposed to flame. The general-purpose grade of Ketron® PEEK 1000 is unreinforced, providing the highest elongation and toughness among PEEK grades. The newly available black variant is suitable for applications where aesthetics are critical, as well as for seal components requiring ductility and inertness. Ketron® PEEK is stocked in 19 locations across the USA, Singapore, and Taiwan.
