Ketron® PEEK 1000 is a virgin, unfilled polyetheretherketone that offers exceptional chemical and hydrolysis resistance, comparable to PPS, but capable of operating at higher temperatures. This material is suitable for continuous use up to 480°F (250°C) and maintains its physical properties in hot water and steam environments. Its high strength makes PEEK a viable alternative to fluoropolymers in hostile settings. Ketron® PEEK 1000 is characterized by a UL 94 V-O flammability rating and demonstrates very low smoke and toxic gas emissions when exposed to flame. This general-purpose grade is unreinforced, providing the highest elongation and toughness among PEEK grades. The newly introduced black PEEK 1000 is particularly suited for instrument components where aesthetics are essential, as well as for sealing components where ductility and inertness are critical. The material is available in stock across 19 locations in the USA, Singapore, and Taiwan.
