Ketron® PEEK 1000 is a virgin, unfilled polyetheretherketone known for its chemical and hydrolysis resistance comparable to PPS, while being able to operate at higher temperatures. This material can withstand continuous use up to 480°F (250°C) and is resistant to hot water and steam without experiencing permanent loss of physical properties. It serves as a high-strength alternative to fluoropolymers in hostile environments. Ketron® PEEK 1000 features a UL 94 V-O flammability rating and shows very low smoke and toxic gas emissions when exposed to flame. This general-purpose grade is unreinforced, providing the highest elongation and toughness among PEEK grades. The newly available black PEEK 1000 is particularly suitable for instrument components where aesthetics are important, as well as for seal components requiring ductility and inertness. The product is readily available in our 19 locations across the USA, Singapore, and Taiwan.
